Conway County library plans July Lunch and Learn

As part of its ongoing Centennial Celebration, the Conway County Library will present a program on America’s experience in the Vietnam War as its July Lunch and Learn.

The Lunch and Learn program will be at noon Wednesday, July 13, at the library.

The event will be sponsored by the Local VFW Post, and the speaker will be Robert Velasquez, a Vietnam War Veteran and VFW member. Velasquez will focus on his experiences during the war.

The Conway County Piecemakers will provide a gift basket featuring a small patriotic lap quilt and other patriotic items as the July drawing event. The Piecemakers will also decorate the Witt cabinet this month with patriotic themes and also provide refreshment for the program.

The library would like to thank the VFW, the Piecemakers and all Vietnam veterans for their service and contributions.

Call the library at 501.354.5204 for more information on this or any other Centennial Celebration programs.
