Conway County Library announces 2017 programs

After a yearlong Centennial Event, the Conway County Library is returning to its normal programming events.

“We wish to thank the entire community for their support in making the Centennial Year such a huge success!” said director Jay Carter.

For February, the library will mark the long anticipated return of Toddler Storytime, which will resume at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, with stories, fun and special crafts aimed at toddlers. Storytime will then continue every Wednesday at 10 a.m.

In addition, February brings some programs for older kids, which will continue every month. At 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, the library will offer a Valentine’s Day craft for kids. At 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, there will be a Saint Patrick’s Day craft offered.

At 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11, the library will present a special Mardi Gras Party just for teens. Plenty of Mardi Gras-themed foods will be available along with colorful beads. So make sure to mark your calendar for these fun-filled events. Future programs include the ever-popular Dr. Seuss Night in March and a Summer Extravaganza for the Summer Reading Program.

Also, remember the bookmobile is up and running routes with a restocked collection on board. Check the new website for the schedule and other program-related events at conwaycountylibrary.org, the library Facebook page or call 501.354.5204.
