04 May 2015 Conway Corporation's Lisa Douglas receives special HR credentials
Conway Corporation Human Resources Director Lisa Douglas has earned the Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional credential, making her a recognized expert and leader in the human resources field.
Candidates who earn the certification hold a bachelor’s degree, have two years of on-the-job experience in human resources and must pass a four-hour, 160-question exam – 90 knowledge questions, 40 situational judgment questions and 30 field test items.
The SHRM-CP was developed in 2011 and is globally recognized as the new standard in certification for the HR profession.
It demonstrates that the credential holder has strong competencies to effectively perform job duties.
SHRM defines competencies into two categories – technical and behavioral. Technical competencies reflect knowledge that human resource professionals apply to jobs, while behavior competencies reflect how they apply the knowledge.
By earning the certification, Douglas demonstrated she can facilitate the application of technical knowledge to job-related behavior.
Douglas was tested on nine competencies before earning the certified professional credentials: Business Acumen; Communication; Consultation; Critical Evaluation; Ethical Practice; Global and Cultural Effectiveness; HR Expertise/Knowledge; Leadership and Navigation and Relationship Management.
