Conway Corp recently announced the promotions of Tylor McPherson, Cody Tackett and Kyle Troxler to Apprentice Lineman 3 in the electric department.

Tylor McPherson
Kyle Troxler
Cody Tackett

All three employees are enrolled in a four-year apprentice program to become journeymen linemen through the Missouri Public Utility Alliance. The program requires classroom, correspondence and hands-on training with monthly and annual exams on electric curriculum. They must attend hands-on immersion skills training workshops including pole climbing, pole top rescue and bucket truck training at the National Utility Industry Training Fund facilities in Kansas City.

“Tylor and Cody are both excelling in the apprentice program,” Electric Distribution System Senior Foreman Scott Ussery said. “They’re both hard workers and are ahead of where they’re required to be. We look forward to adding them to our journeyman pool.”

Electric Distribution System Senior Foreman Mark Rowlett described Troxler as hardworking and bright.

“Achieving this new level is a big step in his process,” Rowlett said. “We’re proud of all his hard work and accomplishments, especially given that he recently welcomed a new baby boy.”

McPherson, Tackett and Troxler were hired as groundmen in 2018.
