Conway Christian's Anna Cain named to All-Star soccer team

Conway Christian’s Anna Cain was selected as an Arkansas Soccer All-Star and participated last week in the Arkansas Activities Association High School All-Star Soccer game at University of Central Arkansas.

Anna was selected by the coaches of the 4A NE Conference, where Conway Christian participates in conference play.

According to the AAA, being chosen as an All-Star is one of the highest honors a high school senior athlete can accomplish. Only senior athletes are eligible for this distinction.

Anna has been an All-State player for Conway Christian the past three years and All-Conference the past four years. She led her team to the state high school playoffs the past four years.

“Anna is fierce competitor and represented her school very well,” said high school coach Ancil Lea. “Anna gives all of her credit to her coaches and teammates, putting her in this position to receive such an honor.”

Anna is a daughter of Tim and DeeDee Cain. She plans to attend UCA in the fall and will be majoring in special education.

Recent Conway Christian graduates Caleb Dather and Chandler Ferrand were also selected to participate in All-Star festivities.
