Conway Christian senior named National Merit Scholarship Finalist

Conway Christian School senior Wesley Oliver has been named a National Merit Finalist.

More than 1.4 million students in more than 22,000 high schools entered the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Only 16,000 semifinalists nationwide were recognized as the highest-scoring entrants in each state and represent less than 1 percent of each state’s high school seniors. Of the 16,000, there is then another cut to become a National Merit Finalist.

Oliver plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University in the fall.

“We are very proud of Wesley’s accomplishment,” said Conway Christian High School counselor Leslie Lea. “He is the ninth National Merit award winner in the past 11 years at CCS and he has a very bright future!”
