CBC to host homecoming

Central Baptist College will host its annual homecoming on Friday, Jan. 31, and Saturday, Feb. 1.

Events will begin on Friday evening with basketball games beginning at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. as the Lady Mustangs and Mustangs take on York College.

Activities begin at 9 a.m. Saturday with a coffeehouse followed by the dedication and open house of the Story Library at 10 a.m. Following the dedication ceremony, alumni and friends are invited to join in worshiping “Gaither Style” lead by Jim Turner and Danny Fagala.   

The CBC Alumni Luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the dining hall of the Mabee Student Service Building. Awards will be given in recognition of James Speer as recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year and Robert “Scotty” Smittle as the recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumnus of the Year.

The highlight of the afternoon begins in the A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse at 3 p.m. with the Lady Mustangs taking on Central Christian College. The 2013 Homecoming Court will be announced after the women’s game and will be followed by the Mustangs going head to head with Central Christian College.
