CBC presents ‘Little Women’

The Central Baptist College Fine Arts department will present “Little Women,” the Broadway musical written by Allan Knee, at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 6, through Saturday, April 8.

The performance will be held in the renovated Burgess Auditorium in the Cooper Building on the CBC campus.

The musical is under the direction of Dr. Jana Jones and Suzanne Banister, with choreography by students Kaylen Fagala, Max Sullivan and McKenna Wilson.

“The students are really working hard to become the characters they are to portray and the music in the show is absolutely beautiful,” said Banister, vocal coach and co-director.  “This musical was chosen because of the students that we have available in our music department for the 2016-2017 school year. We have a great group of ladies who are able to sing the many roles needed for the show and the right amount of men to fit each part.”

The fine arts department performs a musical every spring. The most notable performances from the last few years have been the Hammerstein musical “Showboat” and a musical review of some of Disney’s greatest classics.
