LITTLE ROCK — Camp Aldersgate is honored to announce a landmark $150,000 pledge from the C. Louis & Mary C. Cabe Foundation of Gurdon, Arkansas. The generous commitment is the largest single gift that the Cabe Foundation has made to Camp Aldersgate and will fund the repair, refurbishment, and restoration of the camp’s beloved 1947 Allan Herschell carousel.

For generations, the carousel has been a treasured part of the Camp Aldersgate experience, bringing joy, laughter, and cherished memories to campers of all abilities. Years of use and exposure to the elements have left the historic attraction in need of significant restoration to preserve it for future generations.

Manufactured in 1947 by the Allan Herschell Company, the carousel has long served as a symbol of fun, community, and accessibility at Camp Aldersgate.
