Camp Aldersgate prepares special anniversary event

LITTLE ROCK — Guests are invited to travel through time with Camp Aldersgate at its annual After Dark event. For Aldersgate’s platinum anniversary, guests will experience the decades from 1947 until today. Continuing the beloved evolving itinerary format, guests will enter the time portal for one groovy night of chilling at Woodstock, hustling at the disco, sipping coke floats or hanging on a comfy sofa with big cups of coffee.

75 After Dark will be held 7 to 11 p.m. on April 29 at Camp Aldersgate. Individual ($125) and Host Tickets ($1,250) may be purchased online. Sponsorships start at $2,500. Visit the event webpage for more information and to purchase.

“This event’s theme is a special tribute to our legacy as we walk through the decades and remember how far we’ve come since 1947,” said Camp Aldersgate CEO Sonya Murphy. “The future is bright for Camp Aldersgate, Inc., and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this milestone.”

The evening will include delicious food, a nostalgic marketplace and concert by Almost Elton John. Select sponsors will enjoy private Wigwams with covered outdoor seating, while others will have premium seats to the live music. Aldersgate also has a surprise in store to be revealed at the event. Hint: It’s all about the future.

Guests will be able to forgo formal fashion for the night and come dressed for their favorite decades. From poodle skirts to parachute pants, bell bottoms to bomber jackets, disco chic to tight rolled jeans – the options are endless and timeless.

All proceeds from 75 After Dark will go towards Camp Aldersgate’s mission of providing life-changing experiences for individuals with special needs. To support the event and help reach its goal of raising $100,000, you can purchase tickets or sponsorships or make a donation online.
