The Cabot Panthers will have an extra drive this fall as they look to close out Coach Mike Malham’s 38-year career with a season to remember. Malham needs just three wins to hit 300 career victories.

Senior quarterback Tommy Oaks is the prototypical athlete for Malham’s Dead T offense with speed to run the option and a big arm to break sleepy defenses. Senior T.J. Rogers put up more than 1,200 yards last fall at halfback. Senior Bradley Morales starts at the other halfback position. Junior Graham Turner holds down the all-important fullback spot. Junior De’Kairo Rudolph is the Panthers’ top receiver, and junior Bradley Morrow seals the end at tight end. Senior Jared Russel is Cabot’s lone returning starter on the offensive line. Seniors Jace Smith and Spencer Snow and juniors Jake Freeman and Patrick Shirron project as the other starters on the offensive line.

Juniors Hayden Matthews, Chris Swafford and Hunter Horka provide a big presence on the interior defensive line. Juniors Mason Griffin and Logan Bell start on the ends. Senior Lucas Crumbly and junior Justin Underwood make plays at linebacker. Senior Zhane Harper and junior Kyle McIntire line up at safety. Senior Jessie Windemaker moves to corner back. Juniors Carson Attaway and Jacob Moudy rotate at the other corner spot.
