Cabot Lions Club presents scholarship

The Cabot Lions Club recently presented its annual $1,000 scholarship to a Cabot High School graduate from the Career & Technical Education Pathway.

The 2018 “Rick Meadows Memorial Scholarship” was given to Marissa Burnett, a recent honor graduate of Cabot High School who has always loved service.

A daughter of Clayton and Cindy Burnett, Marissa volunteers wherever she can in many school service clubs. She prioritizes giving back to the community above all else.

She will attend Arkansas State University-Beebe, where she plans to study agricultural business. This award is named in honor of Lion Rick Meadows, who passed away in 2014. He was passionate about supporting Cabot students in all facets of education.
