Cabot High cheerleaders off to a great start at camp

The Cabot High School cheerleading team recently attended camp in Hot Springs and won first place in the large co-ed varsity division for a performance of “The Jam.”

“The Jam” is the routine the team learned during camp and was choreographed specifically for the Cabot cheerleaders.

Nineteen team members were nominated for All-American Cheerleader at the camp. Seventeen tried out and nine made All-American.

The nominees: Autumn Klein – Jumps/Motions; Micah Long – Stunts/Jumps/Dance; Jessie Thrush – Leadership; Holly Jones – Jumps/Tumbling; Mallory Tullos – Motions; Halie Eastham – Jumps; Macy Bratton – Motions/Jumps; Abi Grace King – Stunts/Tumbling; Sarah Beavers – Jumps; Lexi Dunn – Stunts/Tumbling; Allison Tubbs – Dance; Emily Sumler – Stunts; Brooklyn Jennings – Leadership; Kara Scroggins – Stunts; Rachel Rackley – Stunts; Savannah Miller – Stunts; Alex Flynn – Stunts; Emilee Phillips – Stunts/Leadership; and Jennifer Wallace – Stunts. All-American: Autumn Klein – Jumps/Motions; Micah Long – Stunts/Jumps/Dance; Jessie Thrush – Leadership; Holly Jones – Jumps/Tumbling; Mallory Tullos – Motions; Halie Eastham – Jumps; Sarah Beavers – Jumps; Emily Sumler – Stunts; and Brooklyn Jennings – Leadership.

Sophomore Holly Jones earned the highest All-American score for the entire camp.

Top Gun Dance winners: Micah Long, Cheyenne Cozad, Allison Tubbs, Sarah Beavers, Halie Eastham and Mallory Tullos.

Top Gun Partner Stunt winners: Jessie Thrush, Rachel Rackley and Holly Jones.

Micah Long and Jessie Thrush were also chosen to apply for the NCA staff.
