BISMARCK: Lions look to be more explosive on offense

The Bismarck Lions went 1-9 in their first season under Lewis Jolly. The year of transition was marred by injuries at key positions.

Junior Josh Burroughs and sophomore Dylan Clayton compete at quarterback. Senior Zaine Umer leads the way at running back. Sophomores Sam Diaz and Jordan Webb round out the backfield. Senior Braden Gill; juniors Skyler Checots, Gerald Green and Dillon Hunt; and sophomore Zach Brown make up the receiving corps. Offensive linemen include seniors Tanner Corley and Mac Murray; junior Phillip Heck; and sophomore Jaden Hogan.

Junior Noah Emerson leads the defensive line at nose guard. Junior Karson Wheeler and senior Cole Smoke project as starters at end. Corley and Hogan also help up front on the defensive interior. Umer, Diaz, junior Dylan Daniels and senior Matt Bingham make up the linebackers. Webb, Burroughs, Clayton, Gill and Checots defend the secondary.
