Beast Feast 'another sell-out'

A sell-out crowd recently attended the 12th Annual Beast Feast hosted by the men’s ministry at Second Baptist Church.

The event – held at the Conway Expo Center and Fairgrounds – is held each winter and is open to men and boys of all ages. The event features games, entertainment, prizes, live music, great food and great speakers.

More than 2,500 men and boys were fed 1,750 lbs. of  pork loin, 744 lbs. of potato salad, 420 lbs. of slaw, 415 dozen rolls and 1,600 lbs. of ice in 30 minutes. “We had another sell-out with attendees coming from all over Arkansas and even a few from Tennessee, Florida,” said Chris Green, one of the organizers. “One man brings his son all the way from North Dakota each year just to attend Beast Feast. He once lived in Conway and makes the trek back each year.”

Movie personality Alex Kendrick from the films “Courageous” and Facing the Giants was the guest speaker. “He spoke to the heart of every man in attendance,” Green said.

The men who attended donated more than 7,000 cans of food and $309 for Bethlehem House and Soul Food Café!

More than 850 door prizes were awarded and everyone received a Beast Feast hat and “The Resolution for Men” book. Winners of the major prizes were:
