Bears break three UCA records at the Richard Martin Jr. Invitational

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men’s & Women’s Track & Field teams hosted the Richard Martin Jr. Invitational last weekend. 

The Bears earned 84 top-10 finishes and set 60 personal records.

Breaking the UCA record, Jenny Peake placed second in the women’s Javelin with a throw of 44.28m (145-3.0).  

Breaking the UCA record in the women’s Discus, Miranda Nichols placed fifth with a throw of 42.35m (138-11.0).

Breaking the UCA record, Aidan Patton placed second in the men’s Shot Put with a throw of 16.80m (55-1.5).

Joia Perry placed first in the women’s Hammer Throw with a throw of 54.27m (178-1.0).

Natalie Louw placed first in the women’s High Jump with a jump of 1.61m (5-3.5).

Anna Bommes placed first in the women’s 800m with a time of 2:16.19.

Kamaria Russell placed first in the women’s 400m with a time of 57.41.

Symone Quiles placed first in the women’s 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.05.

Field Events

In the men’s Hammer Throw, Malik Beasley placed fifth with a throw of 58.62m (192-4.0). Treavor Green placed sixth with a throw of 57.92m (190-0.0), Jaden Schneeberger placed seventh with a throw of 57.85m (189-10.0), and Aidan Patton placed eighth with a throw of 57.77m (189-6.0). Maximillian Laur finished 12thwith a throw of 45.16m (148-2.0). 

Joia Perry placed first in the women’s Hammer Throw with a throw of 54.27m (178-1.0). Sarah Robinson placed third with a throw of 51.61m (169-4.0), Joy Nance placed fifth with a throw of 48.00m (157-6.0), and Joelle Stewart placed eighth with a throw of 46.30m (151-11.0). Serena Degollado placed tenth with a throw of 44.23m (145-1.0), Jalyn Akins finished 11th with a throw of 42.91m (140-9.0), Kiara Williams finished 12th with a throw of 41.42m (135-11.0), and Enya Thompson had a throw of 35.10m (115-2.0). 

In the men’s Javelin, Luke Stringer placed fourth with a throw of 54.04m (177-4.0). Maximillian Laur finished 11th with a throw of 38.72m (127-0.0) and Taylor Michie finished 12th with a throw of 33.50m (109.11.0).

In the men’s Discus, Treavor Green placed fifth with a throw of 40.10m (131-70). 

In the women’s Discus, Miranda Nichols placed fifth with a throw of 42.35m (138-11.0). Serena Degollado placed sixth with a throw of 40.95m (134-4.0), Kiara Williams placed eighth with a throw of 38.77m (127-2.0), Joia Perry placed ninth with a throw of 38.50m (126-4.0), Enya Thompson placed tenth with a throw of 36.63m (120-2.0). 

Natalie Louw placed first in the women’s High Jump with a jump of 1.61m (5-3.5). Davin James tied for second with the same height of 1.61m (5-3.5).

In the men’s High Jump, Trey Haworth placed third with a jump of 1.96m (6-5.25). 

In the women’s Pole Vault, Kylie Coleman placed third with jump of 3.54m (11-7.25). Sophia Schrader placed fifth with a jump of 3.44m (11-3.5) and tying for sixth, Anne Baliel and Maygan Jarvis had a jump of 2.99m (9-9.75). 

In the men’s Pole Vault, Jip de Greef placed third with a jump of 4.64m (15-8.75). Parker Benefield placed fourth with a jump of 4.49m (14-8.75). 

Aidan Patton placed second in the men’s Shot Put with a throw of 16.80m (55-1.5). Malik Beasley placed third with a throw of 16.39m (53-9.25) and Jaden Schneeberger placed fourth with a throw of 15.92m (52-2.75).

In the women’s Shot Put, Jenny Peake placed fourth with a throw of 12.98m (42-7.0). Serena Degollado placed sixth with a throw of 12.40m (40-8.25), Joelle Stewart placed eighth with a throw of 12.30m (40-4.25), and Miranda Nichols placed ninth with a throw of 12.27m (40-3.0). Joy Nance finished 11th with a time of 11.94m (39-2.0), Kiara Williams finished 12th with a time of 11.43m (37-6.0), and Enya Thompson finished 13thwith a time of 11.38m (37-4.0). 

In the men’s Long Jump, Bryson Bailey placed third with a jump of 6.70m (21-11.75). Michael Griffin placed seventh with a jump of 6.35m (20-10). 

In the women’s Long Jump, Natalie Louw placed second with a jump of 5.67m (18-7.25). Karis Martin followed in third with a jump of 5.65m (18-6.5) and Savannah Carrigan placed sixth with a jump of 5.43m (17-9.75).

Track Events

Ali Nachtigal placed first in the women’s 5000m with a time of 17:14.83. Kayleigh Wagnon placed second with a time of 17:31.02 and Alexis Frick placed fifth with a time of 18:17.06. 

In the men’s 5000m, Jack Dingman placed fifth with a time of 14:49.26. Gavin Frick placed eighth with a time of 15:13.25, Carlos Hernandez placed ninth with a time of 15:15.65, and Lucas Tauch finished 11th with a time of 15:35.64. Beau Melancon finished 13th with a time of 15:43.14. 

In the women’s 4×100 relay, the UCA team consisting of Troynelle Miller, Raghan Allen, Ciara Tucker, and Kendelle McCoy placed first with a time of 45.87. 

In the men’s 4×100 relay, the UCA team consisting of Wesley Suen, TyJuan Huffman, Jake Green, and Kobe Gill placed second with a time of 40.38. The UCA team of Xavier Simpkins, Aaron Webb, Byron Holt, and Kristopher Hayes placed third with a time of 41.49.

Anna Bommes placed first in the women’s 800m with a time of 2:16.19. Ashlyn Floyd placed fourth with a time of 2:22.02.

In the men’s 800m, Jack Dingman placed third with a time of 1:52.16. Jonathan Heath was close behind in second with a time of 1:53.46. Ky Bickford placed seventh with a time of 1:58.37, Bresner Austin placed eighth with a time of 1:59.09, and Hayden Boyett placed ninth with a time of 1:59.85. 

In the men’s 110m hurdles, Byron Holt placed second with a time of 14.27. Jip de Greef placed fourth with a time of 14.52. 

Kamaria Russell placed first in the women’s 400m with a time of 57.41. Grace Deshotels placed third with a time of 59.63. 

In the men’s 400m, Armonte Paulk placed second with a time of 48.83. Bruce White placed seventh with a time of 51.88. 

In the women’s 100m, Troynelle Miller placed second with a time of 11.82. Ciara Tucker was close behind in third with a 11.88. Raghan Allen was also in the pack with a 11.90 to place fourth and Kendelle McCoy placed fifth with a time of 12.05. Brenae Allen placed seventh with a time of 12.23. 

In the men’s 100m, Kobe Gill placed second with a time of 10.65. Wesley Suen was close behind in third with a time of 10.68 and Aaron Webb placed fourth with a time of 10.75. Kristopher Hayes placed sixth with a time of 10.92. 

In the women’s 1500m, Jewel Baer placed second with a time of 4:47.93. Anna Bommes was close behind in third with a time of 4:48.17. 

In the men’s 1500m, Bresner Austin placed eighth with a time of 4:19.43. Hayden Boyett finished 13th with a time of 4:29.65. 

Symone Quiles placed first in the women’s 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.05.

In the men’s 400m hurdles, Xavier Simpkins placed third with a time of 54.82. Charles Nnantah Jr placed fourth with a time of 57.15 and Byron Holt placed fifth with a time of 58.60. Michael Griffin placed seventh with a time of 58.93. 

In the women’s 200m, Raghan Allen placed second with a time of 24.42. Kendelle McCoy placed fifth with a time of 24.92, Kamaria Russell placed eighth with a 25.13, and Troynelle Miller placed ninth with a time of 25.19. Brenae Allen finished 11th with a time of 25.26, Ciara Tucker finished 12th with a 25.49, Grace Deshotels had a time of 26.45 to place 16th, and Anne Baliel finished 21st with a time of 28.20. 

Aaron Webb placed first in the men’s 200m with a time of 21.84. Wesley Suen placed second with a time of 22.09, Kristopher Hayes placed fourth with a 22.48, and Bruce White placed seventh with a time of 22.74. Trey Haworth finished 20th with a time of 26.01.
