Bazaar kicks off Friday with food and midway

The 105th Annual St. Joseph Bazaar, planned Friday, Aug. 4, and Saturday, Aug. 5 in Conway, will include a spaghetti dinner/box lunch, midway and online auction.

From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, box lunches of homemade spaghetti, sides and desserts may be picked up from the school cafeteria at Front Street and College Avenue. Delivery orders are due no later than 5 p.m. Thursday by fax at 501.329.1987 or [email protected]. Lunches are $9 each with dessert available for $1.

A spaghetti and fried chicken dinner is planned 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the St. Joseph Parish Hall cafeteria Friday. The dinner is $13 per person and $6 for children ages 6-11. Traditionally, attendees eat at the “family-style dinner” and then attend the midway on church grounds.

The bazaar midway opens at 5:30 p.m. both days and includes the popular ham and bacon stand, petting zoo, cake stand, bingo and kids’ games. For more information, visit sjsbazaar.weebly.com.

The online auction will begin Friday and end Saturday. Approximately 100 auction items are being collected for this event, primarily from local businesses. St. Joseph School is thankful to all of the local business owners who support the school through the auction. It is obvious through their tremendous support that the St. Joseph Bazaar has made its mark as a lasting tradition in Conway. The website for the auction will be posted soon.

At the end of the midway on Saturday, drawings will be held for raffle prizes. The grand prize is a 2017 Ford Mustang V6 Coupe. The raffle’s second prize is $500 and third place is $250. Tickets for other items to be raffled off at the auction will be available at the midway.

As it has been tradition for the past 100 years, proceeds from this fun-filled event for all ages will help St. Joseph School continue serving the Conway community and producing Christian leaders of tomorrow.
