BAUXITE: Miners following Patton’s championship coaching

Former Fayetteville coach Daryl Patton takes over the Bauxite Miners this fall. Patton won four state championships during his tenure at Fayetteville.

Sophomore Cameron Landry takes over the new Spread offense at quarterback. Senior Jakob Dever and sophomores Eason Sandage, Dawson Dabbs and Seth McDowell fill out the backfield at running back. Senior Dustin Whitfield leads the receivers and also handles place kicking duties for the Miners. Senior Noah Beam and sophomore Hunter Davis will work at receiver. Offensive linemen include seniors Lucas Dickson and Evan Williams; juniors Ryan McDonald and Aaron Palmer; and sophomores Blake Garrett, Kelub Freeman, Jacob Thornberry, Broc Seyfert and Zach LaSage.

Dickson, McDonald, LaSage and sophomore Carson Collins make up the defensive line. McDowell and Sandage project as starters at linebacker. Dever and sophomores Marshall Golleher and Brady Arthur rotate at linebacker. Junior Dean Babbitt, Dabbs and sophomore Emanual Hervey man the secondary.
