Bald Knob: Bulldogs led by strong senior class in '14

Conference: 2-3A
Coach: Randy Johnston
’13 Record: 3-7 (2-5)

The Bald Knob Bulldogs remained even year-over-year under new head coach Randy Johnston — as far as the wins column was concerned. But beyond the record, the Bulldogs found improvement across the board last fall. This spirit continues into this September.

Senior Grant Glaze returns to lead the Bulldog offense at quarterback. He’ll be joined in the backfield by junior Tremaine Lee at running back. Tristan Falwell shines at wide receiver. The senior made several big plays a year ago, including a 76-yard touchdown reception against Rose Bud — one of Bald Knob’s two 2-3A wins. Falwell is joined in the wide receiver corps by classmates John Smith and Dalton Amundsen. Senior Jake Altom projects at tight end.

A trio of upperclassmen anchor the offensive line: senior tackle Jake Smith, senior guard Hunter Davidson and junior guard Hayden Evans.

Davidson is also a star on the defensive line. The defensive tackle led the Bulldogs in tackles last fall. Jake Smith also starts on the defensive line. Senior Tyler Reeves projects at one of the defensive end positions. Junior Jawan Washington returns at linebacker. Junior Jacob Gilmore returns at strong safety. John Smith, Peyton Hyatt and Seth Johnston fill out the secondary.
