BALD KNOB: Bulldog offense could take 2-3A

Conference: 2-3A
Coach: Randy Johnston
’15 Record: 6-5

The Bald Knob Bulldogs started 2015 with a 0-3 record, but rallied in 2-3A play, winning six of seven to finish second in the conference.

Junior Clayton Collins returns at quarterback for the Bulldogs. Despite missing the non-conference schedule due to injury, senior running back DeShawn Gulledge still racked up more than 1,500 all-purpose yards in 2015. Dominic Harp also returns in the backfield for the Bulldogs. The senior put up a 1,000-yard season in 2015. Seniors Mason Hickmon and Payton Hydron lead a talented group of receivers in Bald Knob’s Spread offense. The offensive line includes a mix of youth and experience: juniors Phillip Freppon and Drake Miller; and sophomores Austin Fisher, Conner Vanoven, Linc Holt and Alan Tojil.

Most Bulldogs see time on both sides of the ball. It’s the usual suspects again on the defensive line in Miller, Tojil, Freppon, Vanoven, Holt and Fisher. Hyrdon and junior Chase Martin project as starters at linebacker. Sophomore Jeremy Tharp, Hickmon, senior Logan Western, senior Landon Jones and junior Rhett Roach rotate as starters in the secondary.
