Arvest Bank, Conway Regional to host first responder lunch

Arvest Bank and Conway Regional Health System will host the first in a series of lunches that will recognize and honor active duty servicemen and women, and first responders from multiple agencies across Conway and Faulkner County.

Honorary guests include members of the Conway Fire Department, Conway Police Department, Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department, active duty servicemen and women in uniform and emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Approximately 300 first responders are expected to participate.

“Sometimes we don’t say ‘thank you’ nearly enough to each of these men and women who help ensure safety in our community, and who often put their own lives on the line in order to rescue or protect us in a life-threatening situation,” said Skip Colvin, market president of Arvest Bank in Conway. “We are all one community, serving each other every day, and we appreciate their unwavering commitment and contribution to Faulkner County.”

The luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, on the lawn of the Faulkner County courthouse. Arvest Bank will cook hamburgers and provide packaged meals for participants.

“These highly trained and dedicated men and women are critical to the health and safety of the members of our community,” said Matt Troup, president and CEO of Conway Regional Health System. “We are deeply grateful for their service and are honored to be able to pause and thank them in this small way.”

Executive leaders from Arvest Bank and Conway Regional will attend the luncheon to personally thank first responders for their service to the community.
