30 Mar 2026 Arkansas Authors’ Children’s Book Festival planned for April 18
MAYFLOWER — The public is invited to the second annual Arkansas Authors’ Children’s Book Festival, which is planned for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the University of Central Arkansas Brewer Hegeman Conference Center.

There is no entry fee, and food is available for purchase from food trucks. The event is coordinated by Youth Advocate Resource Network (YARN), a nonprofit organization based in Mayflower (Faulkner County).
The event will feature special guest appearances, Imagination Library registration, the Faulkner-Van Buren Regional Library System, illustrators and artist demonstrations, multicultural children’s book authors, educational sessions, a diverse platform of child-focused entertainment, and CALS library card registration.

The event is sponsored in part by the University of Arkansas, Brown Chair in English Literacy and Community Literacies Collaboratory and the Arkansas Arts Council.
