Arbor Day workshop to be held

The Arkansas Urban Forestry Council will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Arbor Day Foundation by sponsoring a workshop in Conway that will benefit Tree Board members, Tree City USA communities and citizens interested in helping their communities become a Tree City USA.

Held from 9:45 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, the workshop will be at the Faulkner County Natural Resource Center in Conway.  

This workshop is designed to assist you as an existing or potential board member with new ideas and knowledge that will be beneficial to you and your community tree board. You will hear presentations from experts from the Arbor Day Foundation, Arkansas Forestry Commission, UA Cooperative Extension Service and various Tree Boards.

Cost for the workshop is $15, which includes lunch. Registration deadline is Tuesday, June 14.
