Arbor Day art winners named

Conway elementary school through junior high art students were recently named winners in an annual Arbor Day art contest sponsored by the Conway Tree Board.

The winners were recognized during Conway Arbor Day held at Laurel Park. The awards ceremony included the presentation of colors by the Conway High School ROTC Color Guard and a performance by the Ida Burns Elementary Scat Cats. Speakers included Kami Marsh, Faulkner County Cooperative Extension Service and tree board advisor; Conway Mayor Tab Townsell; Faulkner County 4-H and Guy-Perkins FFA member Alana Rippy; and tree board chairman Barry Williams.
