Annual HOOKS dinner benefits St. Joseph School

The annual HOOKS (Helping Out Our Kids’ School) fundraising dinner recently raised about $60,000 to benefit St. Joseph School in Conway.

This is the 12th year for the event, which included a catfish meal with all the trimmings.

Tina Davis won a drawing grand prize, a John Deere lawnmower with trailer and accessories valued at more than $15,000.

Proceeds are used to address needs not included in the school’s budget. In the past, the dinner has made possible new carpeting for the high school and elementary stages, Chromebooks, classroom teacher microphones, a new freezer and library materials.
