Our dramatic cover truly sets the stage for the excitement we have for our annual “Five-Oh-Ones to Watch” issue! The curtains are drawn, and as you turn the pages, you’ll meet this year’s honorees who have worked hard, given from their hearts and are worthy of recognition.

We received nominations in the fall, and narrowing them down was a challenge for our committee. Central Arkansas is home to many outstanding people who are dedicated to their professions and communities; our honorees were carefully selected and are deserving of a standing ovation! 

At 501 LIFE Magazine we love stories, and we know that every story has a backstory. The backstory of our outstanding honorees is that some kind soul took the time to notice their efforts and to nominate them. None of us achieves success alone; we are born with talents and aptitudes, but we should pause and acknowledge those who cheer us on, grant us opportunities, and, perhaps, fund our dreams. So, I also applaud everyone who took the time to nominate someone they admire.

When I met the honorees who were photographed at Mike Kemp’s studio, the common thread I picked up on was a passion for their cause. As you read their features, you’ll learn what each person is passionate about, and I hope you will find inspiration that fuels your own goals as we kick off a new year. 

Our 2026 “Five-Oh-Ones to Watch” are winners who are making a difference throughout the 501. Let’s give them the honor they deserve – congratulations to each of you!
