'A Walk to Remember' planned at Conway school to be demolished

Conway High School alumni, faculty and friends are invited to attend “A Walk to Remember the A-MAZE-ing Pods” from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at Conway High School West.

Individuals who attended Conway High School will have an opportunity to bid farewell to the old school at a special event on Saturday, May 12.

The event is designed to allow alumni and community members a final walk through the main building “pods.” The main building will be demolished once the 2012 school year is complete.

Wampus Cat yearbook staff members are selling commemorative T-shirts and photography students will be selling pictures taken at the event.

T-shirts feature a Conway High School logo from the commons area on the front pocket area and a picture of the CHS front circle with the pods in the background on the back. The shirts include the wording “Conway High School Alumni 1968-2012” and the event title and date.

T-shirt orders may be placed by contacting Jeani Johnson at [email protected]. Prices are $12 for adult sizes S-XXL. Larger sizes are available for $14. T-shirts can be mailed but a $4 postage fee will be added. T-shirts will be available for pick up seven to 10 days after the event.

Upon request, Conway High photography students will take pictures around campus at memorable settings for $5 per 5 X 7 photo. Pictures will be ready the day of the event.

Anyone requesting more information may contact Beth White or Jeani Johnson at Conway High School at 501.450.4880.
