10 May 2026 501DER WOMAN 2026: Reba Smith
For Reba Smith, caring for others is not just a career. It is a calling. As Arkansas director of operations for StoneBridge Senior Living, Smith leads with both compassion and purpose, ensuring residents and their families feel supported at every stage of life. Her passion for serving seniors began early in her career as a social director in a nursing home, but she knew she wanted a more personal connection. When she joined StoneBridge, she found exactly that.

“Spending time with our residents, listening to their life stories and building those lasting relationships is what I love most,” she said. “When you care for someone, you are also caring for their loved ones.”
Smith takes great pride in the team she has helped build, describing their dedication to caregiving and leadership as one of her greatest accomplishments. “Being part of helping others grow in their careers makes my heart happy,” she said.
Her faith has long been a guiding force. Raised in church, Smith has spent years serving in ministries from nursery care to delivering meals to the homebound.
“We are called to be the hands of God for others,” she said, a belief shaped by both giving and receiving care during difficult times in her own life.
She credits her mother as her greatest inspiration, a woman of unwavering strength and optimism even after a life-changing accident. That example continues to influence how Smith approaches both life and leadership.
Her advice to younger women is simple: Each person is given unique gifts meant to serve a greater purpose. Whether leading a team or welcoming a new resident home, Smith brings that purpose to life, proving that true care is felt not only in what you do, but in how you do it.
