10 May 2026 501DER WOMAN 2026: Jasmine Wilson
Jasmine Wilson always knew that she wanted to teach, but what she didn’t know was that education would open doors far beyond the classroom, allowing her to find her voice, discover her purpose and become the leader she is today.

At Morrilton High School, she considers it a privilege to help students navigate their educational journey. “Being able to influence systems, support teachers and help students thrive has been incredibly rewarding,” she said.
Her commitment to service extends far beyond the classroom. A former Morrilton City Council member and the current vice chair of the UACCM Board of Visitors, she has also been recognized as the 2020 Morrilton High School Teacher of the Year. “Education has given me access, confidence and direction,” she said. “Being able to do that work for students who, like me, just need someone to see their potential is an added bonus.”
She draws strength from her mother, whom she calls her Wonder Woman. Born with a disability that caused partial paralysis, her mother never allowed circumstances to define her capabilities. “Watching her live life without excuses taught me resilience,” Wilson said. “Her strength, faith and determination inspire me.”
From family trips to everyday moments together, she treasures the life she shares with her husband, Marc, and their daughter, Madison. A passionate musician, she loves singing, leading her church choir and creating inspirational and encouraging content for others. “Time with my family and music fill my cup,” she said. “Hearing from former students and knowing they are doing well also brings me joy.”
To the next generation of 501Der Women, Wilson offers this encouragement: “Be strong, be resilient and be consistent. Embrace who you are without hesitation. Confidence grows when you stop holding back and start walking in everything you were created to be.”
