501DER WOMAN 2026: Heather Steely

Heather Steely believes healing is about more than medicine. It is about restoring hope. She is a dedicated advanced practice registered nurse at Conway Regional Advanced Pain Management Center.

“Having the opportunity to help others improve their quality of life” is what she finds most fulfilling, and that purpose shapes every patient interaction.

Dually certified as both an adult nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner, Heather brings both skill and compassion to her work. Her approach is grounded not only in clinical expertise but also in a deep faith that guides how she cares for others. “The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still,” she said, a scriptural reminder she carries into both her personal and professional life.

Outside the Center, Heather finds joy in life’s simple moments. Whether she is gardening, working out, listening to books or laughing with family, she values connection and creativity. She and her husband, Don, are a blended family. They share life with her daughter, Millie, his three adult children, and their spouses, as well as an ever-expanding set of grandchildren.Heather treasures the opportunity to be involved in Millie’s world, including volunteering at Conway Christian School.

She also believes strongly in the importance of boundaries. “Boundaries are truly the key to a peaceful life, personally and professionally,” she said, a lesson she hopes younger women will embrace early.

To Heather, a Wonder Woman is someone who fully trusts in the Lord and knows He is working all things for her good. She cheers on other women and helps to lift them up when they fall. It is a definition she lives out daily, both in her work and in her community.

In a world that often rushes past pain, she chooses to pause, listen and help others find their way forward.
