501 LIFE to be featured during Channel 4 segment

The February edition of 501 LIFE will be highlighted on KARK Channel 4 during the 12:30 p.m. show on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

Each month, 501 LIFE co-publisher and editor Sonja Keith presents information about the current edition as it hits the streets.

“As we enter the season of love with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, our latest issue is all about affairs of the heart,” said Keith. “This issue has some great stories that we are certain readers will love.”

University of Arkansas Community College of Morrilton Chancellor Dr. Larry Davis will join Keith for the segment. He will discuss the new Workforce Training Center, which is featured in the February edition.

The 53,000-square-foot center will house five different programs: Automotive Service Technology; Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology; Welding Technology; and Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance Technology labs. In addition, the new center will have a large room for specialized workforce training that can help address training needs of existing industries.

The center is expected to be completed this spring.

The February edition also has two stories related to the upcoming Winter Olympics. Channel 4’s Aaron Nolan has a guest column on his experiences covering the Summer Olympics as he prepares to travel to South Korea. There is also a sports feature on Searcy native Brittany Reinbolt and her dream to represent the U.S. in bobsled competition.

In addition to the live KARK broadcast, the 501 LIFE segment can be seen on the station’s website – arkansasmatters.com. For more information on this month’s issue, visit 501lifemag.com.
