501 LIFE is teaming up with local financial institutions for the inaugural “Dazzle Daze Dazzler” ornament fundraiser, which kicked off last week during “Paint the Town Red Week.” 

The week-long observance was designed to build enthusiasm for one of the state’s largest holiday shopping events, Dazzle Dazesm. Several area banks, restaurants and other businesses promoted the event by posting promotional materials at their locations, wearing red and encouraging the community to participate. 

Dazzle Daze is sponsored by the Conway Regional Women’s Council and provides financial resources to purchase equipment and support programs through Conway Regional Health System.

Nine banks are selling a special paper ornament for $1 each to display at the bank. The Dazzler ornament has a place for the purchaser to note if it is “In honor” or “In memory” of someone. The ornaments will be sold through Tuesday, Nov. 14. Proceeds will be donated to the women’s council. 

The bank that raises the most money will be featured in 501 LIFE, which is sponsoring the promotion. Participating banks are Arvest Bank, Bank of the Ozarks, Bear State Bank, Centennial Bank, First Security Bank, First Service Bank, HomeBank of Arkansas, Regions Bank and Simmons Bank.

“We are very excited about the response from the banking community to this campaign,” said 501 LIFE editor/co-publisher Sonja J. Keith.

“We want to thank all the participating banks for their help and support.”

There is a friendly competition among banks to see which one sells the most, with the winning bank and top salesman from each bank featured in 501 LIFE. The overall winner among the banks will be announced at Dazzle Daze. 

Ornaments are also available for purchase at the gift shop at Conway Regional Medical Center.

Dazzle Daze is sponsored by the Conway Regional Women’s Council and billed as Conway’s holiday shopping extravaganza. This year it will be held Thursday, Nov. 16, through Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Conway Expo Center and Fairgrounds.

The 16th annual Dazzle Daze will include a high-value prize raffle, Girls’ Nite Out early bird shopping, a Teddy Bear Clinic, reindeer games, appearances and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, food and shopping with more than 80 merchants from throughout the country.
