501 LIFE segment Thursday on KARK

The September edition of 501 LIFE will be highlighted Thursday on the KARK Channel 4 noon show.

Each month, 501 LIFE publisher and editor Sonja Keith presents information about that month’s issue.

This edition celebrates “wellness” for life with a variety of health-related features as well as other articles. Features selected from the edition for inclusion in the segment include:

One Capital Campaign – A $32 million project is under construction at Conway Regional Health System to expand surgery and obstetrics services. This month, 501 LIFE takes a look at the One Campaign steering committee whose members are diverse but share a strong bond through mutual love for Conway Regional.

Senior Day Care Services – The Senior Day Care Services at St. Vincent Morrilton has been in operation for 16 years and provides meals, entertainment, comfortable surroundings, medical attention and other services to seniors who spend their days there.

Conway schoolteacher Cher Masters – In the Neighbors section,  501 LIFE has a feature on Conway schoolteacher Cher Masters, who is a five –year skin cancer survivor. She and her friends and co-workers formed a team to participate in the Toad Suck Daze Run. In the classroom, she uses her experience with skin cancer to educate her students about the importance of sunscreen.

501 FOOTBALL – In addition to the September issue, 501 recently published its fourth annual edition of 501 Football and announced the first ever 501 Football team.

Players were nominated their coaches and selected for the contributions they make on and off the field.
