501 LIFE publishes June edition

The June “Summer food and fun” edition of 501 LIFE is hitting the streets.

“Summer is fast approaching, with all of its delicious, seasonal food as well as the many opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors in the 501,” said editor/publisher Sonja J. Keith.

“For the cover, we worked with our friends at Luxury Pool and Spa to feature the beautiful pool at the Quitman home of Bobby and Cynthia Kennedy,” said Keith. “We want to thank the Kennedys and their family as well as Jeremy Lawson at Luxury Pool for their help with this month’s cover story.”

Other stories in this month’s issue include:

Feature – The completion of a dazzling renovation and restoration of McCastlain Hall continues the University of Central Arkansas’s efforts to preserve its historic buildings.

Health – Soon it will be summer and nothing says summertime more than biting into a fresh peach or homegrown tomato. With farmers’ markets in full swing, there is an abundance of fresh produce available.

Feature – Freeman Family Medicine is working to improve the healthcare experience for its patients with a "comprehensive care approach" that has garnered national recognition.

Entertaining – When the evenings warm up and flowers start to bloom, it’s time to think about entertaining outside.

Pets – Eight-year-old thoroughbred Hot Ace spent the early years of his life racing. Today, he is still competing against other horses, but in a slightly different manner.
