38th annual fish fry benefits Camp Aldersgate

LITTLE ROCK — Once again, in drive-thru style, Camp Aldersgate welcomes Central Arkansas families to enjoy freshly fried fish on the campgrounds. The 38th Annual Drive-thru Fish Fry is a favorite fall tradition among many families.

This year’s event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 14. For those in a hurry to get back home to catch Sunday football, there will be a rapid pick-up option on Kanis Road. Others who want to enjoy the full 70’s themed experience will drive-thru Camp Aldersgate and listen to live music, vibrant street performances, socially-distanced entertainment and more.

Main Event: 2000 Aldersgate Road, Little Rock.

Rapid Pick-Up: 10301 Kanis Road, Little Rock.

Tickets can be purchased in advance via EventBrite and are $15 per person and family packs for four (4) are $50. Your ticket will include a delicious to-go meal of freshly friend fish with all the fixin’s. Don’t forget to grab your groovy t-shirts, too, available on Camp Aldersgate’s website.

“I am so excited about this year’s groovy theme because it is a nod to the decade when Dr. Kelsy Caplinger organized at Camp Aldersgate the first summer medical camp that was accessible for children with medical conditions,” said Whitney Hall, longtime Aldersgate volunteer. “The 70s was the decade where it all began for Camp Aldersgate, so I cannot think of a more appropriate theme to bring all generations together, paying homage to where we started while looking forward.”

The Fish Fry is one of Aldersgate’s biggest fundraisers of the year that raises money to create life-changing experiences for individuals with special needs. This grassroots event serves approximately 1,000 meals annually and raised more than $50,0000 in 2020. For those looking for a way to support the event outside of ticket purchases, sponsorships for the Fish Fry are available.
