Tour de Toad ride for literacy planned for April 30

Literacy Action of Central Arkansas (LACA) is hosting the 14th Annual Tour de Toad and Iron Toad Charity Bike Ride for Literacy on April 30 in conjunction with Toad Suck Daze. LACA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building stronger communities through adult and family literacy.

“Tour de Toad is a family-friendly event that was held virtually last year due to COVID-19, so we’re hoping to have a strong showing this year as we return to a ‘live’ event,” said Sherry Owen, a board member for LACA. “You can read more about the ride on Facebook as details become available.”

The event is the official bike ride of Toad Suck Daze, an annual festival held in Conway from April 29 through May 1. LACA is offering Family, Intermediate, Advanced and Virtual Rides. The Iron Toad Award will be given to participants that complete any length of this race and the Kiwanis Toad Run, the official run of Toad Suck Daze.

Proceeds benefit LACA students. Registration is open at literacyactionar.org.
