23 Jun 2025 Wooster hosts Fireworks Extravaganza on Saturday
The city of Wooster, in Faulkner County, will host their annual Fourth of July event on Saturday, June 28, at the city park beginning at 5 p.m. A patriotic ceremony begins at 8 p.m. and a fireworks show starts at about 9 p.m.

The event is free and there will be a bouncy obstacle course, cupcakes and ice cream for kids. At 6 p.m., the children’s games with prizes start, and at 7 p.m. adults can participate in games and win prizes, which is new this year.
An elaborate Patriotic Program begins at 8 p.m. with the singing of the Military Branch Songs, then a Color Guard from North Little Rock Air Force Base will present the flags and perform the Missing Man Table ceremony again this year. “This is a true Patriotic Ceremony honoring the birthday of our great nation,” said Lisa Vaden, the event organizer who works for the city of Wooster.
Well-known in the region, Tommy Lynn Browning and his band will entertain the crowd. There will be food and local vendors with items for sale. The main vendor is JF Eatery, which is locally owned and operated. Las Delicias and Kona Ice will also have treats to cool off attendees.
Families are encouraged to attend. “If you have a story to share of your roots and how your family came to Arkansas or Faulkner County, contact me at 501.679.7504,” Vaden said.
