Winter issue of 501 Kids publishes

With dropping temperatures, the 501 has welcomed winter and all its wonders.

“With winter comes a time to rest, regroup and reflect as we consider what lies ahead in 2015,” said editor/publisher Sonja J. Keith.

This month, 501 Kids has some helpful information to ensure that 2015 gets off on a healthy start. Staying healthy during the winter months can be a challenge but Katelin Whiddon offers some simple steps that parents can take that can help during this time of year.

Heather Kendrick also has an important message for parents and shares some useful suggestions on encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle among children.

“In this edition, we also present the winners in a recent art contest held among fourth-graders at Marguerite Vann Elementary School in Conway,” Sonja said. “The first and second place winners will have their artwork displayed on the cover of the school’s yearbook – how neat!” All of the entries were displayed at Art on the Green, which also hosted a reception for the Top 10 winners and their parents.

“As parents, we know all too well that time flies and soon the cold temperatures of winter will gave way to warmer weather and the arrival of spring in Central Arkansas. It will also signal the next edition of 501 Kids (scheduled for publication in early March).”

Copies of 501 Kids are available at the 501 LIFE office and at the following locations of advertising partners: Central Arkansas Pediatrics, Conway Regional Medical Center, Deal Family Dental, First Security Bank, First Service Bank, Shoe Choo Train, St. Joseph School, Conway Christian School and AETN.
