22 Jan 2025 Williams named Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week
LITTLE ROCK — Little Rock’s Jordan Williams has been named Wrestler of the Week following his stellar performance in the multi-team dual. Williams went undefeated, securing a major decision, a decision, and a fall across three duals, playing a crucial role in Little Rock’s dominant showing.
Williams recently opened his campaign with a 14-6 major decision over Brown’s Austin McBurney, setting the tone for his weekend. Against Morgan State, he battled through a tough match to earn a 12-10 decision over Yannis Charles. His most dominant performance came against Davidson, where he pinned Tyler-Xavier McKnight at 4:43, cementing his status as one of the top competitors in his weight class.
His consistent ability to earn bonus points and push the pace in each match was instrumental in the Trojans’ success. With this recognition, Williams continues to prove himself as a key asset to the team and a wrestler to watch this season.
Williams and the Little Rock Trojans look to continue his momentum this Friday kicking off Pac-12 action as Oregon State visits the Capital City for a dual starting at 7 p.m.
