The White County Single Parent Scholarship Fund Inc. recently held its Spring 2016 Scholar/Donor Reception at Arkansas State University at Searcy.

Approximately 75 attended the event, which included the presentation of 16 scholarships with a combined value of $13,387.  

Since WCSPSF Inc. began awarding scholarships in 1999, 522 scholarships have been awarded with a combined value of $295,011. The funding for the scholarships is all privately raised.

Dr. Karla Fisher, chancellor of ASU Beebe and a WCSPSF board member, issued the official welcome on behalf of ASU Beebe/Searcy. Joining her in the welcome was Barry Farris, vice chancellor for ASU Searcy.
