Unity Health named Most Socially Responsible Hospital in Arkansas

SEARCY — Unity Health – White County Medical Center has been named by the Lown Institute as the most socially responsible acute care hospital in the state of Arkansas. The Lown Institute seeks to promote a just and caring environment in the healthcare setting. Social responsibility within hospitals is displayed through compassionate care, equal treatment and positive patient outcomes.

In determining the ranking of socially responsible hospitals, the Lown Institute assessed more than 2,700 acute care hospitals and 800 critical access hospitals across the country. The evaluation analyzed up to 54 metrics for each entity, with equity being of greater emphasis than previous rankings. Through this framework of analysis, Unity Health is proud to be recognized among its national peers for its efforts in providing equitable, expert and positive patient care. Unity Health is one of only 154 acute care hospitals to earn a spot on the Lown Institute honor roll by receiving straight “A’s” across the categories of equity, value and outcomes.
