Unity Health Foundation partners with Tara & Co. for annual event

Tara & Co. owner Van Simpson and associates present a check to Unity Health Foundation team members and Unity Health President/CEO Steven Webb.

The Unity Health Foundation was recently presented with a check for more than $6,000 from Tara & Co. Diamonds as part of its Annual Tara & Co. Holiday Jewelry Give Back Event.

The Unity Health Foundation and Tara & Co. have been partners on this specific event for the last nine years. During the event, 15 percent of sales made at Tara & Co. by Unity Health physicians and spouses, associates, Auxiliary members, and Foundation committee volunteers is donated to the Unity Health Foundation. Those affiliated with Unity Health who participated were entered for drawings including a $1,000 shopping spree from Tara & Co.

“The Foundation looks forward to this event every year and would like to thank Tara & Co. for their continued partnership and support,” said Unity Health Foundation Executive Director Cassandra Feltrop.

All donations go to support the Foundation’s current campaign, “Home is Where the Heart is.” Funds for this campaign go toward improvements for patient and associate safety, including renovations to the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, additions of Patient Safe Handling Rooms and Xenex Germ-Zapping Robots.

“This is a special event and we enjoy partnering with the Foundation each year,” said Van Simpson, owner of Tara & Co. Diamonds. “We are glad to support those who support us in our community.”
