30 Jul 2015 Unity Health announces Associate of the Quarter

Unity Health associates recently selected Samantha Green as the Associate of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2015. She has been with the hospital for 11 years and works in the Infection Control and Prevention Department.

“I am extremely honored to be named Associate of the Quarter,” Green said. “I’m blessed to be a part of Unity Health, where we believe in excellent care; that’s what healthcare should be about. I love working in infection control and there’s more to it than most people realize. There’s a great deal of research and investigating that goes into infection control, which I find very satisfying and I love my team.

“I would also have to thank my husband, son and my parents for being my support system and supporting me in what I do.”

Attributes of the Associate of the Quarter include high values, a positive attitude and sense of professionalism. Green reflects the core values of the hospital:  integrity, teamwork, compassion, excellence, stewardship, innovation and a heart of service.

Originally Green worked as a RN on 3 South in the hospital, but started working in Infection Control and Prevention Department four years ago.

“Samantha is in excellent and knowledgeable employee,” said Debbie Hare, director of quality and infection control. “She is an extreme asset to our department and to the hospital. She has years of experience in various areas of nursing such as surgical, oncology and clinic, which provides valuable knowledge when working within infection control. She is also always willing to go out of her way to help; she’s very kind and loyal.”
