17 Apr 2012 United Way hosts golf tournament

The United Way is hosting a golf tournament that will provide community members an opportunity to support the United Way as well as enjoy holes of golf and other activities.

The tournament will begin at noon Friday, May 11 at The Greens at North Hills in Sherwood.

The tournament is set up in a 4-person scramble format with a shotgun start at noon.

Entry fees are $100 per person, which also includes dinner. Dinner tickets for non-players can be purchased for $25.

United Way is offering several sponsorship opportunities for businesses or other individuals interested in being part of the tournament.

They are also soliciting silent auction items, door prizes, raffle donations and goody bag items. Sponsorship levels include: Masters for $2,000, open for $1,000, team for $600, beverage cart sponsor for $500, hole sponsor for $250 and player sponsor for $100.

All proceeds from the tournament will stay in Arkansas and be distributed throughout the communities that the United Way serves.
