LITTLE ROCK — UCA tennis impressed in several ways as they split their doubleheader with a win against Austin Peay and a loss to Arkansas on Jan. 22.

One of the biggest stories of the afternoon was the success of sophomore Jaeun Lee. Lee went 3-1 in total, as she picked up the lone win against the Razorbacks. Lee took home a come from behind thriller and ensured that the Bears got on the board. She also maintained a perfect record against the Governors as she was a fundamental piece in the first route of the season.

Austin Peay did not know what hit them as the Bears pulled off a major victory, as they hit on all cylinders. Almost all of the Bears players picked up a win. It was UCA on Saturday as they refused to keep it close during the entire match. After claiming the initial first point in doubles, they were off to the races with a quick finish from freshman Sumomo Hamanaga. The Bears would only drop one in singles as the rest of the team put together a strong push and made sure it was not even close in the end as they won 6-1.
