28 Nov 2012 UCA plans watch party for football playoff game
The No. 8 University of Central Arkansas Bears will be on the road this week and play the No. 6 ranked Georgia Southern Eagles in the NCAA Division I second-round football playoffs.
Kickoff is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro, Ga.
The UCA Athletic Department will host a watch party for the game on the videoboard at the Farris Center. There is free admission and the concession stands will be open. Doors open at 12:30.
It is the second straight NCAA playoff appearance for the Bears as they take on one of the perennial powers in FCS football in the Eagles, owners of six national championships.
The game can also be heard on KUCA 91.3, 106.7 The Heartbeat and Y107.1. It will also be broadcast on ESPN3 and ucagameday.com.
