11 Jul 2016 UCA hosts Night of Distinction
The University of Central Arkansas recently returned to the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion for its sixth annual Night of Distinction.
The annual awards gala honors past and present recipients of the Distinguished Alumni Award and Alumni Service Award. This year’s honorees were Distinguished Alumni Award recipients Dr. Linda Beene and James Neihouse, and Alumni Service Award winner Pat Otto.
Distinguished Alumni Award recipients are recognized for outstanding contribution to the University, community, state or society; outstanding achievement in a particular field of endeavor; possessing a reputation that enhances the reputation of the University and serves as an example to UCA students; and contributing to the goals or the welfare of the University.
Proceeds from Night of Distinction benefit student scholarships.
UCA Board of Trustees Chairman Shelia Vaught served as the emcee for the event. UCA President Tom Courtway recognized special guests.
