UACCM plans business workshop

Emily Young, a 2013 graphic design graduate from the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton, and her mother, Pat, will speak at a small business workshop at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in the UACCM Fine Arts Auditorium.

The mother-daughter duo co-own the independent bookstore Dog Ear Books at 301 W. Main St. in Russellville.

“Stand Out from the Crowd: Small Business Tips with Big Ideas” is an event hosted by the UACCM Business Department. Nancy Patterson, a UACCM business instructor, said she decided to hold the event to help give community members a chance to hear new ideas related to both creating and managing a small business.
Emily is also the owner of The BrainStorm Agency, a graphic design business in Russellville. Pat is a former teacher and retired assistant principal of the Russellville School District.

This event is free and open to the public.
