17 Feb 2014 UACCM moves 'Just Desserts' to fall
The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Foundation will move its annual "Just Desserts" fundraiser to September beginning this year.
As the foundation’s board of directors prepares for its 2014 annual fund campaign, board members decided to balance the fundraising schedule by keeping the annual “Links for Learning” golf tournament in May and moving "Just Desserts" to the fall.
“For the past 11 years, community support has made "Just Desserts" a successful fundraiser for our organization,” said Rhonda Trowbridge, board secretary for the UACCM Foundation and 2013 "Just Desserts" event co-chair. “We know it is a staple in this community, and we hope this move will give us an opportunity to put a new spin on the event that will allow us to continue it for many years to come.”
As a part of the annual fund campaign, friends of UACCM will have many opportunities to contribute to the foundation throughout the year including these two established fundraising events.
The UACCM Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide broader opportunities and services to UACCM’s students, alumni and the residents of the college’s service area by supporting the advancement of the institution.
