20 Dec 2023 Two CBC athletes earn AMC Athlete of the Week honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the third time this season, Central Baptist College has multiple American Midwest Conference athletes of the week. Caroline Citty was selected as the women’s basketball athlete of the week, and David Corretjer was selected as wrestler of the week.

Citty led the way for CBC in their first win of the season, 85-74, over Baptist Bible last Tuesday. She finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists on 8-14 shooting from the field. Corretjer went 5-0 last week, which included a pair of wins over Jake Stanton of Oklahoma Wesleyan, the last of which led to his win at the 918 Open on Saturday. The 125-pound Corretjer also defeated a Division I wrestler from Oklahoma on his way to his first tournament win since last year’s AMC Championship.
